Fall 2021 | CLass Brochure
Join us this fall for more of our late-afternoon virtual cooking classes. The kids have fun cooking and experimenting in the kitchen, while learning cool food facts and kitchen skills, too. Through our hands-on cooking classes, kids create dinner for their families while being part of a fun community. And YES! We do this all via Zoom, and have a blast!
Genius Dinner Group
In this class, we make delicious, genius dinners for our families every Wednesday afternoon. We spend the first 5 to 10 minutes discussing the dish or main ingredient, then we pull up our sleeves and prepare dinner for the remainder of our 1.5 hours together. We’ll finish our 12-week series with our Holiday Cookie Extravaganza.
Recommended for ages 9+ (adult supervision requested for ages 9-11, or those needing extra help in the kitchen. You know your child best!)
just $420 for the series of 12 classes (works out to $35 per class per family/screen.) Ingredients not included.
Each Wednesday, 4:30 - 6:15 PM ET, for 12 weeks
From September 22nd - December 15th 2021 (no class Nov 24th, the day before Thanksgiving)

How I Teach
I believe that within a simple recipe there are many learning opportunities — to explore the history, science (nutrition/chemistry), art or culture of a food or dish, or the harvesting and processing of our ingredients. Making a cracker, for example, is a lesson in wheat, gluten, how it’s harvested, ground and sifted into all-purpose flour.
Because kids are inundated with a lot of online learning, we make sure that we keep things fun, hands-on, and interesting.
I’m a trained chef and have been teaching children and adults over the past 15 years. For more info on me, go to www.jillsantopietro.com
When classes number 10 or more, a moderator ensures that the students are engaged, their questions are answered, and the pace of instruction is adequate.

SHOPPING
Shopping lists will be emailed a week before each class, and will include easy-to-find ingredients. We’ll also help you with selecting ingredients and setting up your cooking space. Let us know if you have dietary restrictions and we’ll adjust the menu to suit you and your family.
PRICING
1.5+ hour class, plus ingredient lists and recipes: $35 per class per family, which works out to $420 for the series of 12 classes. (Note: price does not include the cost of ingredients). Please also NOTE: if you’d like to pay in installments, let me know. We want to make this as easy and inclusive as possible.
